Cuddles on the Beach

Peach nectar is basically a thicker version of peach juice. It contains both juice and pureed fruit. TOP NON-ALCOHOLIC DRINKS RECIPE COCKTAILS AND MOCKTAILS  But, yes, peach juice can work in these recipes, too.

What about using a peach soda, you may ask? The peach nectar tastes more like schnapps, but you might be able to make a very tasty drink using a peach soda.

There are so many ways you can go with this drink. When you’re dealing with flavors as bold and tasty as cranberry and peach, it’s hard to go wrong.

Recipe

The sparkling version – adds 7-Up for sweet citrus taste, or tonic or mineral water if you like a little bitterness with your fruit juice.

TOP NON-ALCOHOLIC DRINKS RECIPE COCKTAILS AND MOCKTAILS

  • two2 ounces cranberry juice
  • 2(two) ouncess grapefruit juice
  • ounces peach nectar
  • 2 ouncs 7-Up (or tonic/mineral water)

As with the first recipe, you can just pour this into a glass with ice, stir, and serve.

Mockmosa

The Mockmosa is a delicious alcohol-free substitute for the traditional Mimosa.

You can serve it alongside Mimosas so that guests have a choice, or it can be your tipple when you want to socialize with drinkers but not drink yourself.

Your first thought for making a non-alcoholic Mimosa might be a champagne substitute such as Martinelli’s Sparkling Cider,
but the grape juice flavor is actually much more intriguing – and tastes more like a high quality champagne. In the US,
you may have to hunt for a sparkling white grape juice that’s actually dry in flavor – look for brands that add little or no sugar,
and no corn syrup at all. If you can’t find anything but Welch’s, try adding some lemon juice or a little bit of rice vinegar to it.

Recipe

  • 2 parts orange juice
  • 3 parts dry sparkling white grape juice

Pour the orange juice into a flute glass and then pour the sparkling white grape juice. Optionally, you can arnish with a mint sprig.

Hurricane Mocktail

The rum-based Hurricane is a fruity drink featuring passion fruit syrup and lime.

Since the fruit syrup is too think to drink without the rum, it’s not one of those cocktails you can simply leave the alcohol out of.

This mocktail recipe replaces it with passion fruit and other juices.

This is a really easy recipe, and you can change your fruit juices as you see fit.

If you can’t get V-8 Tropical Blend, any tropical juice blend with passion fruit will do.

What I feel is most important to this one is the ounce of grapefruit juice – but then I really love grapefruit juice and not everyone does.

You can also leave the amaretto syrup out, but I like the added sweet almond flavor rounding out all that tart fruit.

Recipe

  • 1 ounce orange juice
  • 1 ounce grapefruit juice
  • 6 ounces V-8 Tropical Blend
  • 1/2 ounce amaretto syrup (such as Torani)

Put all the ingredients in a shaker with ice, and shake until chilled. Put some crushed ice in a hurricane glass and strain the mixture over it.

Nojito Mocktail

The Nojito is a mocktail (non-alcoholic) version of the Mojito, which is just as tasty as the original.

All that refreshing mint and lime flavor remains, you just lose the alcohol.

This is a terrific cocktail whether you’re taking a day off from drinking, or a whole lifetime, or just trying to shave a few calories off your daily count.

It’s easily as satisfying as a beverage like sweet tea or soda, although it takes a little more effort to make.

If you’re making it for a party, you can actually do the muddling in the glasses in advance and leave them in the fridge.

Then when a guest is ready, you just add in the ice and pour in the club soda.

Nojito Recipe

  • 12 to 14 small mint leaves or 6-8 big ones
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 3/4 tablespoon rum extract
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 ounces club soda (Sprite works, too)

Put the mint leaves, lime juice and brown sugar in a tall cocktail glass and muddle the leaves.

Fill the glass with ice cubes and add the rum extract and club soda. Stir to mix up the sugar. Garnish with another mint sprig.

Virgin Mary

People refer to the Bloody Mary as “vodka and tomato juice”, but it’s actually more complicated than that.

The Virgin Mary keeps that same wonderful flavor without the vodka.

Recipe

  • 4 ounces tomato juice
  • 1/2 ounce beef stock or bullion
  • Dash of lemon juice
  • 2 drops of Tobasco (or, to taste)
  • Pinch of celery salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Pinch of fresh ground black pepper (optional)

Pour everything right into the glass and stir well. Serve with a celery stalk.

Bella Bellini

The Bella Bellini is a non-alcoholic mocktail take on the traditional Bellini, which blends prosecco with peach puree.

Now, the obvious way to make this one non-alcoholic is to replace the Prosecco with non-alcoholic sparkling cider.

But that cider adds a distinct apple flavor to it, and I wanted to preserve something like the taste of the champagne.

Blue Shoe Mocktail Recipe

Unnaturally blue cocktails are always a hit.

But what about the non-drinkers? I created the Blue Shoe mock-tail so they too could enjoy a bright blue drink with no alcohol.

THE BLUE SHOE IS A NON-ALCOHOLIC “MOCK-TAIL” I CREATED SO NON-DRINKERS COULD ENJOY A BLUE BUBBLY COCKTAIL.

IT FEATURES THE FLAVORS OF BERRY, CRANBERRY AND LEMON-LIME.

Recipe

  • 3 ounces blue Hawaiian Punch (or similar)
  • 2 ounces white cranberry juice
  • 7-Up

Cherry Coketail mocktail

The Cherry Coketail is a mocktail that actually tastes better than a lot of the cocktails that feature cola. It blends cherry,

vanilla and a touch of lime with your choice of regular, diet or any version of cola you want.

If you have a jar of maraschino cherries on hand, you can just scoop some juice out from that, but any sort of cherry syrup will also work.

In a pinch, you could even melt a cherry candy such as a Jolly Rancher.

This is a really fun drink – the sort of thing most of us wanted to have all the time as kids but rarely got to.

It tastes a lot like a cherry cokeserved at a county fair, but I like the addition of vanilla and lime because they make it more unique and interesting.

At a get-together where drinks like Jack and Coke are being served, this is a great option to offer the non-drinkers.

recipe

  • 1/2 ounce maraschino cherry juice (or cherry syrup)
  • 1/4 ounce vanilla extract
  • 1 squeeze of lime

Pour the cherry juice and vanilla into a rocks glass. Squeeze the lime in next. Then pour cola to the top – diet or regular, both work well.

Gabbie’s Punch

Gabbie’s Punch is a simple recipe you can whip up anytime you’re entertaining without alcohol, or want to offer non-drinking guests something delicious to enjoy.

The flavors here are citrus and spice, with just enough sweetness to bring it all together.

Like most punches, this is a great choice to serve at your own parties, or to bring along to other people’s – kind of like a BYOB for the non-drinkers.

Since it’s a combination of tropical fruit flavors, citrus and ginger ale, most people love it.

Recipe

  • one1 part Golden Circle Tropical Punch or Kern’s Nectar in Orange Pineapple Passion fruit
  • 1(one) part ginger ale
  • 1 part lemonade
  • Strawberry halves and mint

Put some ice in a punch bowl. Put all the liquid ingredients into the bowl together, and give them a stir.

You can put the strawberries and mint into the punch, or put them on the side as garnish for people to add to their glasses.

Sea Breeze

The Sea Breeze is an excellent summer cocktail (not that it’s to be avoided the rest of the year).

The ingredients are vodka, cranberry and grapefruit juice, so the taste is tart and refreshing.

Perfect for sipping by the beach (or sipping while you imagine you’re by the beach). The original Prohibition Era recipe called for gin and grenadine.

But like so many Prohibition bathtub-gin cocktails, this one was improved upon once bartenders had better options.

Piña Colada

The Piña Colada is a summertime classic that deserves more respect than it gets.

It may be sweet and it may be palatable to people who don’t drink much or are just starting, but it’s a wonderful treat for seasoned cocktail lovers, too.

THE PINA COLADA IS A DELICIOUS TROPICAL TREAT THAT TASTES LIKE PINEAPPLE AND COCONUT. IF YOU BLEND IT,

THE TEXTURE IS LIKE A SMOOTHIE.

OVER ICE, IT’S RICH AND THICK. THIS PARTICULAR RECIPE ADDS SOME SPECIAL TOUCHES TO ENHANCE THE ORIGINAL RECIPE.

Recipe

  • 1 jigger of white rum
  • 1 ounce of dark rum
  • 3 ounces of pineapple juice
  • 1 jigger coconut cream (Coco Lopez is the best choice – whatever you pick, just avoid coconut milk)
  • 1 ounce of heavy cream
  • Dash of Angostura bitters

Instruction

  1. Put everything in a blender with ice.
  2. Blend for about 15 seconds.
  3. Pour it into a hurricane glass.
  4. Garnish with a slice of pineapple and/or maraschino cherry.
