Ingredients

for 1 serving

  • 1 slice bread
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • blueberry, to taste
  • maple syrup, to drizzle

Preparation

  1. Slice bread into cubes.
  2. In a bowl, add egg, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla, and mix.
  3. In a microwave-safe mug, place half of the cubed bread and desired amount of blueberries.
  4. Place the rest of the bread, berries, and the egg mixture into the mug.
  5. Microwave for 1½ minutes or until egg is fully cooked.
  6. Drizzle maple syrup.
  7. Enjoy!

for 10 sticks

  • 5 egg roll wrappers
  • 10 sticks string cheese
  • water
  • oil, for frying
  • marinara sauce

Preparation

  1. Slice the egg roll wrappers in half.
  2. Place a stick of string cheese on the edge of the egg roll wrapper, then fold the sides of the wrapper over the ends of the cheese.
  3. Wet the other edge of the wrapper with water, then roll it up tightly, pressing the edge to make sure it’s sealed.
  4. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and cheese.
  5. Heat oil in a pot.
  6. Fry the sticks until golden brown, then drain on a paper towel.
  7. Serve with marinara.
  8. Enjoy!

  1. Mix the macaroni, water, and salt in a microwaveable mug.
  2. Microwave for 2-3 minutes, then stir.
  3. Add the milk, cheese, salt, and pepper, then stir.
  4. Microwave for another 30 seconds, stir, and garnish with a sprinkle of chives.

for 1 cheesecake

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 sheets graham cracker
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened (115 g)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 drops vanilla extract
  • raspberry, to serve

Preparation

  1. Melt the butter in a small microwaveable mug or dish. Grease a ramekin with the melted butter.
  2. Crush the graham crackers into fine crumbs, then mix it with the remaining butter. With a spoon, press the crust flat against the sides of the dish.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla, stirring until there are no lumps.
  4. Transfer the mixture on top of the cracker crust, then spread it evenly on top.
  5. Microwave for at least 4 minutes, 30-45 seconds at a time, at 50% power. Make sure the cheesecake does not bubble over the sides.
  6. Chill in the freezer for at least 30 minutes, until it is completely cool to the touch.
  7. With a knife, loosen the edges of the cheesecake then invert onto a plate, or eat straight from the dish.
  8. Top with a few raspberries.

  • ¼ cup green onion, thinly sliced (35 g)
  • guacamole, to serve
  • sour cream, to serve

Preparation

  1. Mix the chicken with the barbecue sauce, then spread evenly over a bed of tortilla chips.
  2. Spread the pico de gallo, cheese, and green onions evenly on top, then microwave for about 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  3. Dollop with some guacamole and sour cream, then serve.

There are a lot of 5-minute cake-in-a-mug recipes out there, but I’ve taken the time to experiment with eight variations on a a recipe to come up with the best,

tastiest, and most reliable 5-minute chocolate cake on the web.

This quick and easy chocolate cake recipe will change your life! Now you can have a rich, chocolate dessert in an instant.

So grab a big mug (I link to my favorite in the next step) and get ready to make new kind of cupcake – the cake in a cup!

5 MINUTE HEALTHY SNACKS – SIMPLE AND EASY RECIPES

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 tablespoons flour – make sure you measure it right – or the cake is a lie!
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa
  • 2 tablespoons whisked egg – 1 egg is too much, 1 egg white is too eggy, 1 yolk is too dense, but 2 tblsp is just right!
  • three tablespoons milk
  • thre 3 tablespoons oil
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate chips
  • splash vanilla or other flavoring – try peppermint or cinnamon

Mix Your Ingredients

  • Add all of the dry ingredients to the mug and mix.
  • Add the egg and combine well. It gets pretty pasty at the point.
  • Stir in milk and oil.
  • Add chocolate chips* and splash of vanilla. Stir well.

*if you don’t have chocolate chips, try a broken up candy bar – I can’t stress how much this amps the awesomeness of your cake

Nuke It!

  • Microwave for 3 minutes in a 1000w oven, or 4 minutes in a 700w oven.

It will start to crown over the top of the mug. Don’t panic! It will collapse once the heat stops.

Experiment!

Some people have had mixed results with the final texture of this cake.

This cake is tricky mostly because of people’s microwaves all being different.  I experimented a lot with the amounts of different ingredients.

I think if it’s something you’re going to make quite a lot in the future, it’s worth fussing around with!

Try just a bit less time in the microwave (you can always put it back in for more).  If that doesn’t help, try a little less egg, or a little less flour.

Keep notes on what you’re trying each time, and eventually you’ll find the cake that’s perfect for both you and your microwave!
